Popcorn Sales 2021!

 

Popcorn site sales are a great way to learn about public speaking, perseverance, handling rejection, math, all while raising funds to support the fun activities scouting provides.

September Pack Meeting Means Learning Camp Skills

 Pack 451 is going camping again!  We missed it last year but tent camping at Camp Oh-Da-Ko-Ta is back!  To be sure our scouts are properly prepared, we sent them to learn how to put up a tent during the pack meeting.

Actually, we really did it so we could talk to the parents about boring stuff like dues, popcorn selling, meeting times, and Scoutbook accounts in peace.  Don't tell the scouts because it looks like they had a good time.

Popcorn Sales Have Begun!

 If you see us outside the store, stop and talk to us.  If you can support your local Cub Scouts, we thank you in advance.  Your help lets us go camping, put on the Pinewood Derby, and help instill the scouting values in our youth.

Pack 451 Begins the Hike Lake County Challenge!

We are lucky to have so many hiking trails nearby to practice living by the Outdoor Code and the Leave No Trace Principle.  As an added bonus, scouts completing the Hike Lake County Challenge for the first time earn an official pack walking stick!

Having Fun at Popcorn Sellers Day

Popcorn sellers who sold over $750 in popcorn gathered at Camp Crown for an afternoon of fun.  The climbing wall was up and the new BMX pump track was open.  Hope to see more scouts there next year!

2021 Bike Rally

Pack 451 typically kicks off the summer with our annual bike rally and this year was no exception.  Scouts learn important bike safety then set off together for a fun ride.  We are lucky to have nice riding trails through the forest preserves around Grayslake.

Spring Campout 2021

 We may not have been able to camp there, but spending the day at Camp Oakarro with the rest of the Pack was fun.  Fishing, hiking, kickball, gaga ball, fire pit, we managed to fit in all in and had a great time.

We all enjoyed seeing our scouts get their neckerchiefs and scout books for the coming year.

Tigers go Geocaching

 The tigers went geocaching tonight. We added a new cache at Central Park- see if you can find it!

Pinewood Derby 2021

THE Cub Scout event of the year had to be virtual this year, but it was still great to see all the work the kids put in making their cars and seeing them race down the track.  Check out the lineup at this link.  Congratulations to all the scouts and their cars.
