 | Who says you can't have fun in the rain? Pack 451 got out our boots, rain coats, and ponchos and had a good time at the fall campout at Camp Oh-Da-Ko-Ta. This year we are learning to live by the Leave No Trace principle by reducing the amount of disposable plates and cups we consume during camp. Scouts were encouraged to bring a mess kit with reusable dishes which they then learned to wash after meals. Believe it or not, there was an actual argument about who would GET to wash the dishes at camp. We will see if this excitement carries over from camp to doing the dishes back home. Special thanks to the staff at Camp Oh-Da-Ko-Ta for monitoring the weather and keeping us informed as well as providing contingency plans in case severe weather hit. |
